Transformers - A Guardian's Remorse

Description

Edited some of my author's commentary to explain a little more.

Next:  Transformers - The Worry Wart by Vee-Freak

This is a story line that exists solely in my head, combining the two universes of Beast Wars/Machines with movie-verse Transformers.

Velocity is feeling extremely guilty for not being there for his young ward, Vance, when he and his father were attacked by an allied group of Decepticons and Predicons. Vance's father had insisted on spending some quality father-son bonding time with Vance and drove his own non-sentient vehicle to take his son out. Unfortunately, it was the one day that Vance's guardian was asked to stay behind, that the attack happened. As a result, Vance lost his legs (again) and his father, a moment which made Vance realize all at once that he was not in fact human anymore and that in losing his last living family member, he had become an orphan... Later, he realizes that he is not in fact alone, but that he has been adopted into a whole new HUGE family through the bots and their rag-tag group of allied humans.

It takes time to adjust to all the changes and every person and bot must grieve accordingly- Comfort and Time... Eventually the wounds will heal and life will move forward again...

Prime counsels Velocity, reminding him that he can't be everywhere at once and that he should not blame himself for something that he had no control over. No one was entirely prepared for this eventuality because sometimes "slag happens" and the Decepticons are sneaky bastards that always strike when a person or bot least expects it... No one is God/Primus and can't predict the future. One should simply be prepared and do the best they can and try to continue moving on and must not succumb to the extreme down times... Even as a Prime, finding the strength to hold one's head up is often very difficult...

We draw strength and resolve from each other.

'Till all are one.

More and more, I'm becoming a huge fan of the Transformers Prime art style because while it's still highly detailed, it's a considerably more simplified version to draw than trying to emulate the over-complicated stylings of TF Movie-verse bots. So, I'm trying to find a happy medium between the two and decided to take another shot at drawing my OC bot, Velocimus Solanicrad or better known by the name of Velocity (some bots/humans call him by the nickname of "V" or "Vo"). My OC Vance McCartney calls Velocity "Vo", pronounced "Voh" like you're saying "Oh".

If you want to know more about what's going on, please refer to the related artwork/gallery for further details.

Forgive me for the crappiness of this drawing, but the roughness of it is kind of intentional to convey the emotion... (lame excuse, I know). :bucktooth:
