I've found you at last

...and now for something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!  

Copic Sketch Marker Muse strikes again!!


I'm a total shipper for Baron Humbert von Gikkingen and Haru Yoshioka from Studio Ghibli's  "The Cat Returns" and I decided I needed to draw more fanart of them because there's just not enough of it in the world!

So here this latest piece is, where I imagine many years have passed and Haru is now a grown woman and yearns for her past adventure with Baron, Toto, and Muta, but most of all, she still holds hope that her heart will eventually lead her back to Baron and wonders if he has forgotten her. Somehow or other, Baron (who has definitely NOT forgotten Haru) is able to make himself human sized and he goes into the human world in a desperate search of her, hoping that he's not too late and that she still remains single. As you can see, they are eventually reunited because love is awesome! Hee...they're blushing! I know, terrible synopsis...maybe I'll write a fanfiction some day.. Heh.

As opposed to my previous attempt at drawing Baron, I've anthropomorphized him a bit more by giving him eyebrows and more human-like eyes, which allows him to be a bit more expressive. I LOVE Cats, but they are not known for their wide variety of facial expressions and would be difficult and annoying to deal with in applying it to this particular art style. Creative liberty. 'nuff said.
